Our keyword volume estimates are derived from Google Trends data, which provides relative search interest over time on a 0–100 scale. We apply calibrated multipliers based on keyword characteristics (length, commercial intent, category) to convert this relative interest into estimated monthly search volumes.

These are estimates, not exact counts. No tool outside of Google's own internal systems has access to precise search volume numbers. However, our estimates are useful for comparing keywords, identifying trends, and understanding relative demand — which is what matters most for SEO decision-making.

Additional metrics like seasonality scores, trend direction, and search intent are calculated using statistical analysis of the historical trend data and AI-powered classification, giving you a more complete picture of each keyword's potential.
